Middle School Ensembles
The Deer Lakes MS Instrumental curriculum consists of two performance groups in the 6th Grade Ensemble and the 7th & 8th Grade Ensemble. Each grade level rehearses five days a week for forty minutes each day. Both ensembles participate in two annual concerts including the Winter Holiday Concert and the Spring Concert. In addition to formal concert performances, students are giving opportunities to showcase their abilities in the form of school pep rallies, assemblies as well as annual Homecoming festivities.
The purpose of these ensembles is to further the fundamental knowledge of these young musicians as they engage in large-group ensemble instruction on a day to day basis.

Percussion Equipment:
To better suit the needs of the students and promote their growth through music we ask that percussion students have specific equipment to aid them in their education. By no means is the purchase of this equipment mandatory, however, it will benefit both the students and the parents/guardians of all percussion students.
